Keough/Keogh/Kough/Kehoe (and Affiliated Surnames)

I have not made the leap across the pond yet, so I do not have proof but I believe that most of these surnames are either Irish or transplanted Irish. Our ancestors with these surnames arrived in Newfoundland in the late 1700s and early 1800s. They probably arrived first in the Avalon region (Saint John's) and then they moved on to the Bonavista region (Bonavista, Broad Cove, King's Cove, Knight's Cove, Open Hole/Hall, Plate Cove East & West, Stock Cove, Sweet Bay, and Tickle Cove).

If you see your surname (or that of one of your extended family) listed below, please contact me. I am attempting to gather the pedigrees of the families of Open Hall and Plate Cove (East & West). The only way to find out how we are all related is to gather all the pieces of the genealogy puzzle. Any piece (no matter how small) of the genealogy puzzle helps and will be happily accepted!

If you have any of these surnames and places in your family trees,
please get in touch so we can put together these family puzzles!
