Corn And Cotton: My Family's Story ~ Stephanie provides a nice overview with one small goal, one bigger goal, one long-term goal, and the dreaded previous month in review (keeping it honest).
Finding Our Ancestors ~ Terri gives a shoutout to Stephanie and lists her seven goals for December (I'm impressed as it sounds like she is going to be busy!).
Tonia's Roots ~ A quick search of "motivation" at Tonia's blog shows you her monthly to-dos and weekly updates.
Ancestrally Challenged ~ Dee has decided to set a monthly goal of focusing on one locality each month and drafting a research plan so she will be ready for any distant research trips that come her way.
Publishing your list is a great start. Working through your list and sharing your progress is a great motivator. Checking those goals off your list in 2012 will be a great finish. It might be fun to "kick it up a notch" by hanging out with each other on a monthly basis with Google+ Hangouts. What do you say ~ want to hangout and encourage each other during 2012?
December is a busy month, so I'm going to start out slow (you know "slow but steady wins the race"). Here's my list.
- Blog once a week during December
- Go through my Legacy genealogy program to check/clean up my Master Lists
- Surnames
- Locations
- Sources
- Review my 2011 genealogy goals and grade myself ~ what got started, what got done, what I need to focus in 2012 ~ and start planning my 2012 genealogy goals.
Ready, Set, Go!

Thanks for the shout out! I am envious of your goals. I need to clean up my Reunion database and my ancestry tree, but the thought of that is that it is a huge job. So, I let it set and wait. Maybe over the long winter months, but I doubt it! Good luck with your goals!
